Namely i have a guitarist in the band who has like 8 pedals, and every time he switches one on he becomes louder in the mix, and i can't hear the others. It would be great if you could include a limiter on the input that would allow signal strength to a certain point, so as to it doesn't overcrowd the mix.

Is plugging directly into the JamHub?

It sounds like the problem you're describing is something that would also be a problem when you play music OUTSIDE of the JamHub environment. And speaking as a guitarist, it's the guitarist's own responsibility to make sure, that he has a balanced volume level on every sound, unless of course he wants to boost during a solo.

It doesn't really sound like a problem for the JamHub - rather a problem with your guitarist's settings... ;)

Hi ProFTW,

Thanks for your purchase and for your idea regarding the limiter. The product has analog preamps, which do act like a limiter in that they clip when they run out of headroom. Not a limiter in the conventional terms, but if you get the gain staging dialed in it will work in that capacity ... somewhat.

I agree with Madmax 25 as well. I think the more important thing here is that you KNOW he's killing everyone with volume, which is probably happening live too. :D Getting him to dial in his gear so that he's jumping to the volume of the lead singer is ideal. Now you guys can start working on that as a band. It'll help you live and when you go to the studio.

Does that make sense?

I'm working on an affordable interface output expansion adapter

For those following my earlier posts here - I had some unexpected car maintenance expenses, so this adapter has been delayed, but still in the works. I will post updates when I have something tangible!

Any news?

Sorry for being impatient, it's just that our band has begun using the Jamhub for recording and that adapter would be really useful... I would just really love to be able to adjust the individual volume level of instruments after we've done the recording - something that your device coupled with a multitrack recorder would let us do...

I have been thinking about this and doing some research. I think something like the zoom r16 would work great. I have a digitech rp500 and I think you would just need to split the signal. Right? Would the same go for a mic?
