Welcome, mglg!

Something's not right. A few questions to help us get to the bottom of it:
By 'adapter', do you mean the 1/4" mono-to-stereo adapter that came with your BedRoom? Exactly what cable are you adding an adapter to? Also, does the symptom occur on all sections' instrument inputs, or just one of them?

Hi Chuck,I am not having problems with the 1/4" mono-to-stereo adapter jamhub supplied. It seems the ones that i have bought off the shelf are not fitting properly.
Thanks
MG

Hi MG,

That's odd. Where did you get the off-the-self ones? Do you have a model # for them, or better yet, a link to them?

Hi MG,

That's weird. I've tried the Radio Shack adapter and it worked well. A few more questions - Does the poor connection that you described happen on every JamHub input, or just one of them? Are you using more than one Radio Shack adapter and if so, do they all behave the same way? Can you give us a bit more detail about what you're plugging into the adapter(s)?

Sorry about all the questions. I'm just trying to ensure that we completely understand the issue. Rest assured that if there's something wrong with your BedRoom, we'll make it right for you...

Hey Chuck,Sorry for not being clearer.I am using just one Radio Shack adapter and it is the same in all jacks,it just doesn't fit as snug as the one you supplied. When you add the weight of the cable from the amp to the adapter it tilts a little in the instrument jack on the Jamhub and you get static issues.

Hi MG,

I've often experienced challenges when using adapters over the years. There can be subtle (and not-so-subtle) differences from manufacturer to manufacturer when it comes to things like lengths, widths, even the location of the conductors, etc.. I really wish that there was more standardization in this area, but alas...

Rather than recommending different adapters, I can't help but ask another question - What are you plugging in that needs an adapter? I ask because the JamHub is a stereo listening environment and is best enjoyed when listening to stereo sources. If you can share more detail about exactly what's being plugged into your system, we might be able to offer some simple, affordable suggestions that would make the whole adapter issue go away completely!

Hang in there. We'll do whatever it takes to help you get the most out of your JamHub...
