showPlay like a Pro

Pro's play a lot more than most musicians. They also have great sounding places to play that are designed for music making. They have the money to spend on these sound stages and they get better with each jam session.

Pro's use very large rooms to rehearse, they do so because they can afford it. But if you're limited to jamming in a small room with drums, amps and a PA then you know that it can be really frustrating to make music. You can't hear yourself or the rest of the band very well. It often starts with the drummer whacking his drum kit (which is often quite loud) and the drummer has to say, "I can't hear you. Can you turn up?" The volume war domino effect begins and ironically it ends with you not being able to hear anything clearly; it's just a huge mush of noise. But to get things to sound great, you need to hear things really well.

Have you ever wondered why touring artists you see on TV, at festivals and at concerts have all those black boxes laying in front of them and are wearing in-ear-monitors? The reason is so they can hear themselves clearly on a stage that is filled with loud sound. Their mission is to play the best show possible, and to do so, they need to hear exactly what they and their bandmates are playing.

Listen to a great recording wearing headphones.

You can hear things in detail, with great clarity and tone. It sounds amazing. A JamHub session sounds a lot like that -- you can hear all the instruments and vocals very clearly. A JamHub jam is similar to being in a recording studio or playing live because it allows each player to customize his or her mix based on their role in the band.

You could say that playing a JamHub really sounds like listening to yourself play when you are making a great recording.

Let's say you're the guitar player in a JamHub band. Because you're in control of your mix, independent of what the other band members are hearing, you can really get into your part of the song and enjoy the music. For some songs, that means you're tight with the bass player, for the next song it's tight with the other guitar player and another song might require a mix that allows you to get tight with the keys player. Get it? You're in control, so it's easy to dial in what you need (or don't need) to hear. A great extra with a JamHub is that it is super easy to create a stereo recording of your jam. You can listen to your song immediately after playing so you can tell what things are working and what still needs work. Listening to what and how you're playing can be quite an ear opener.

clutterOur ears are like our mouth, they are only "so big" and can only handle so much input. If someone put a hose in front of your mouth and keep turning it up and up you won't be able to handle all the water. With our ears, we run into the same problem with sound. We can only handle so much. If you're room is smaller than a concert stage, you've probably experienced this bad sound very often.

With a JamHub, you've got an ideally designed rehearsal room. We get emails every week from bands all around the world telling us how much they love their JamHub jams. This is because you're in control of the volume, in control of what you individually hear, and you're able to focus on the music you are creating.

quotePro's say "keep the tape rolling" and with a JamHub you can do the same. With a JamHub you can play like a pro. You will experience the same great sounding jams that the professionals have enjoyed for decades, you can record it all and you can play nearly any time you want.
