JamHub is a new product, and a new category of product, but our JamHub team isn’t new to the music business. We’ve worked for companies like Line 6, Bose, Lexicon and others to bring innovative, market-changing products to musicians.
We’re passionate about playing music and we created the JamHub silent rehearsal studio line to give musicians everywhere the freedom to jam anywhere, anytime without being told to stop playing because it's too loud. We want to inspire you to play more, create more and have more fun doing it. Isn’t that what being a musician is all about?
We know our customers play in locations that vary as widely as the musicians who use the JamHub. They jam in apartments, condos, garages, dorm rooms, classrooms, after-school programs, recording studios, houses of worship, backstage before the show, on the tour bus, in hotel rooms, at music stores, and even in hospitals. We hope to hear of a jam on a ship at sea, a plane en route or in a submarine below the waves.
Our mission is clear, More Music Making. Our goal is to allow 1,000,000 new bands to form and to jam as much as they want.
Our Band:
Steve Skillings
Founder, Inventor, President
Before Steve founded JamHub LLC, makers of the JamHub line of products, he was in a band with the same problem shared by other bands: rehearsing was so loud it was driving their families crazy, and studio space was expensive and tough to find. One day, Steve was at a soccer game listening to another dad describe his son’s band and their rehearsals, limited to one hour a week because of where they lived. It reminded him that while rehearsals were tough for his own band, they can be nearly impossible for many musicians.
Since Steve is also an engineer and former product development guy at Bose, he did something about it. Steve started working on the concept for JamHub, and put together a team of passionate, and proven music industry veterans to join him and make JamHubs a reality.
When asked, Steve shares that he learned how to design and manufacture products from Toyota, in his automotive days, and he learned how to market and develop products from Bose. In 1999, Steve added an MBA to his engineering education to prepare him to achieve his goal of someday owning his own product company.
Steve started playing guitar and jamming with his first band in his parents’ basement when he was 16. Today Steve is still in a band, and whether he’s playing a gig or jamming with other musicians, his goal is always the same: make great music and have as much fun as possible.
